Obituary for Larry W. Hensley
Larry W. Hensley, the husband of Nancy Edwards Hensley, the son of the late Elmer ; Mildred Smith Hensley went home to be with his Lord and Savior Monday night, March 19, 2012 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond after a long illness. Larry was an iron worker in Long Beach, California until he returned to Irvine in 1983, where he and his wife have owned and operated the local Hensley Produce business until his health forced him to retire.Larry attended the Irvine First Baptist Church.He was an avid golf player and a member of the Estill County Golf Club.Through his illness he has been a great inspiration to everyone and fought to prove that God is still performing miracles.He will be greatly missed by all his family, relatives and friends. He is survived by his loving wife and wonderful caretaker, Nancy Edwards Hensley 2 Daughters:Carrie Hensley Richmond Marissa (Robert) Tipton Irvine 3 Grandchildren:Peyton ; Brett Riddell Richmond Ian Tipton Irvine 5 Sisters:Bettye (Paul) Rose Irvine Barbara (Walter) Woosley Waco Peggie (Herman) Abney Richmond Brenda Webb Berea Patricia (Bill) Wilson Waco 3 Brothers:Charles (Carol) Hensley Waco Steven (Evelyn) Hensley Versailles Jeffrey (Karen) Hensley Irvine His Brother-in-law:Billy Joe Williams Science Hill Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends He was preceded in death by 1 sister, Nancy Williams and 2 nieces, Jessica Wilson ; Macie Hensley and a great nephew, Jerrad Wright. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 24, 2 PM at the Irvine First Baptist Church by Bro. Chris Winkler.Burial will be at the West Irvine Cemetery.Friends may call between 6 and 9 PM Friday at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help with his funeral expenses. Pallbearers will be his nephews:Dennis Rose, Scott Woosley, Bradley Abney, Randall Hensley, Wayne Hensley, Austin Hensley, Malachi Wilson and Tyler Hensley. Honorary Pallbearers will be his close friends, Mike McGee, Paul Wolfinbarger, Monty Gabbard and Terry Barnes.
