Obituary for Katherine Marie Hall

Katherine Marie Hall, 81, passed away September 13th, 2024, in Lexington, Ky at Baptist Hospital after battling a brief illness. She is now, and for all of eternity, in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Kathy was born in Estill County, Ky to the parents of Floyd and Dovie Norton. Over the course of her life she was so many wonderful things to so many people.

She was the beautiful and devoted wife of 40 years to Eugene Hall. Gene passed away earlier this year and they are now in heaven, once again, rejoicing together.

She was a cherished sister to her ten siblings Glendon (Pat) Norton, William Norton, Robert Norton, Lester Norton, Louise Hisle, Juanita Hall, Geneva Lawson, Anne Norton, Darlene Hardy and Nettie Pearl Power, all of whom preceded her in death.

She was the loving and caring mother to her daughter Kimberly Bates (Derrick) and to her son Stacy Hall (Michelle), both of whom love her deeply.

She was a precious “Mamaw” to five grandchildren and one great grandchild, Michael Bates, Nathan Bates (Graie), Connor Bates, Olivia Bates, Ava Grace Hall and Isabella Riley Bates, all of whom will miss her dearly.

She was a gracious step-mom to Brian Hall, Sondra Strange, Carol Estes, Lois Campbell, Mark Hall (deceased) and Theresa Congleton (deceased).

She was a joyous aunt to scores of nieces and nephews. She was a committed co-worker and friend to her colleagues at Trane Company and Parker Seal. She was universally loved by all.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, September 16, 2 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at the West Irvine Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 11 AM to 2 PM.

Pallbearers: Michael Bates, Nathan Bates, Connor Bates, Kevin Power, John Morgan Wemple and Glendon Carlton
