Karen Kaye Stone, age 61, of Dry Branch Road in Irvine, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the Compassionate Care Center following a short illness. She was born June 18, 1964, in Clark County, and was the daughter of the late Lowell Stone and Nettie Stepp Stone. She retired from the Irvine Nursing and Rehab Center, and she had lived in Estill County all her life. She is survived by:

Samantha (Brandon) Rawlins - Estill Co.
1 son: Justin Shearer - Louisville
1 brother: Jerry (Pam) Stone - Estill Co.
2 grandchildren: Samara Rawlins and Karlie Rawlins
A memorial service will be conducted Sunday, September 21, 1 PM, at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Sis. Sandy Broadbent officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 12 to 1 PM.
