Joyce Gay Crews Smith, age 75, of Old Landing Road in Irvine, passed away Saturday, March 12th at the Marcum and Wallace Memorial Hospital following a long illness.She was born February 12, 1940, in Dayton, Ohio, a daughter of the late Philbert and Ella Mae McDaniel Crews.She was a former nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, OH and had lived in Estill County for the last 17 years.She attended the Wagersville Pentecostal Church of God.She is survived by: Her Husband: Vernon Smith 3 Daughters: Anita BarkerEstill Teresa Diane Dooley (Mark)Verona, OH Renee Woods (Scott)Florida 2 Sons: Aaron Ray Smith (Mary)Phillipsburg, OH Phillip Vernon Smith (Kathy) Estill 3 Sisters: Judith Faye GibsonDayton, OH Rhonda Dale Finney Greenville, OH Rita Sue Welch Dayton, OH 3 Brothers: David CrewsDayton, OH Rick CrewsDayton, OH Randy Crews Dayton, OH 17 Grandchildren 36 Great Grandchildren 3 Great-Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by 3 Brothers; Roger Crews, Jerry Crews, and Lin Crews. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. David Crews, Bro. Beverly Arvin, and Bro. Rick Crews with burial to follow in the Campbell Cemetery.Friends may call between 6 and 9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
