Obituary for Joan Edwina Richardson
Joan Edwina Richardson, age 65, of Poplar Street in Ravenna passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013, at her home following a short illness.She was born May 6, 1948 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Edward and Viola Powell Hunt.She was a retired teacher's aide with the Estill County School System and a member of the Ravenna City Council.She was a member of the Irvine First Church of God, the Marcum and Wallace Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and the Estill County Homemakers.She was also a Kentucky Colonel and was a participant in the LEAP Program.She had lived in Estill County all of her life.She is survived by: Her husband:James Willard 'Jimmy' Richardson, II Her daughter:Rebecca Barker ; husband, Owen Irvine Her son:James Willard Richardson, III Irvine 1 brother:Walter Nelson Hunt ; wife, Judy Winchester 1 grandchild: Ryan Hunter Freeman Irvine Several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Dwight and Johnny Hunt. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, June 30, 2 PM at the Irvine First Church of God by Rev. Glennis Sizemore and Rev. Todd St. John. Burial will be at the Sunset Memorial Gardens.Friends may call between 6 and 9 PM Saturday at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home and after 1 PM Sunday at the Church. Pallbearers:James W.
