Jennis Travis 'JT' Harris, age 81, of Mt. Vernon, KY, passed away Monday, March 31, at his home following a long illness.He was born January 7, 1933, in Greenville, NC, the son of the late James Elie and Charlotte Mongino Harris.He made his home in Mt. Vernon, KY for the past 141/2 years.He was a retired truck driver with FedEx and was a member of the Mt. Vernon Church of God.He served in the United States Army for two years.He is survived by: His Wife: Margie Faye Donahue Harris 2 Daughters: Pattie Howard N.C. Betty Haswell N.C. 1 Son: Travis Harris N.C. 1 Step Daughter: Carolyn McKnight Paint Lick 1 Step Son: Charles Franklin Walton Mt.Vernon 1 Sister: Margaret WilkesN.C. 11 Grandchildren He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Betty Jean Wray Harris.7 Brothers and 4 Sisters. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 4, 2 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Bobby Owens and Bro. Bobby Hale with burial to follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens.Friends may call from 6-9 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers: Alex Haswell Ron Haswell Steve HowardCharles SaylorEddie Donahue Steve McKnight Honorary Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
