Jason Arthur Thomas, 49, passed away on February 6, 2026. He was born on December 14, 1976, and lived in Estill County all of his life, a place he proudly called home.
Jason was a devoted husband and loving father. He is survived by his wife, Amy Fauste Thomas; his daughter, Natalie Ann Thomas; and his son, Jayce Arthur Thomas.
He is also survived by his mother, Joyce Ann Thomas, and his father, Tony Gene Thomas; his brothers, Bryan G. (Tammie) Thomas, of Estill County, and Anthony Holder, of Madison County; and five nephews and three nieces.
Jason was a 1995 graduate of Estill County High School. He worked most of his life as an equipment operator, a trade he was deeply gifted in. His work reflected dedication, pride, and skill—he was known for perfecting everything he laid his hands on. Jason also had a true passion for anything outdoors, where he felt most at peace. He was also a member of the Providence Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held at Providence Baptist Church in Winston, Kentucky, on Monday, February 9, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the church and will be conducted by his lifelong friend, Chris Green, and Bro. Brandt Jones.
Jason will be laid to rest in Lee County, on Old Landing Road, in the family cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kirk Conrad, Dwight Smith, Josh Hymer, Chris Green, Larry Hubble, Gary Paul Townsend, and James Reeves.
Jason will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love of the outdoors, and his deep devotion to family. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
