Janet Lee Holbrook Stepp, age 65, of Clearview Drive in Irvine, passed away Monday, September 15, 2025, at her home. She was born August 23, 1960, in Hamilton, Ohio and was the daughter of Louise Dunaway Holbrook and the late Ray “Holbie” Holbrook. She retired from the Kentucky Department of Corrections Division of Probation and Parole and had lived in Estill County all her life. She was a member of the Rice Station Christian Church, the Eastern Star, and a former member of the 4-H Council. Survivors in addition to her mother include:

1 son: Robert (Tabitha) Stepp - Irvine
1 sister: Connie Witt - Irvine
Her long-time companion: Lynn Estes - Richmond
5 grandchildren: Rylee Friend, Logan Friend, Brody Stepp, Bryce Stepp, and Bryndle Stepp
2 bonus grandchildren: Maddox Bosler and Finley Bosler

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2 PM at the Irvine First Church of God with Bro. Eric Patrick officiating. Friends may gather from 12 to 2 PM. A reception will follow the service.
