Obituary for James W. Sparks
James Wesley Sparks, age 74, of Doe Creek Road in Irvine, KY passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013 in Hopkinsville, KY at the Jennie Stuart Medical Center. He was born April 25, 1938 in Estill County and was a son of the late Tom Sparks and Pearl Brandenburg Sparks Stevens. He was retired from A.O. Smith Company and had lived in Estill County most of his life. He was a member of Old Time Baptist Church and the National Rifle Association. Mr. Sparks was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Robinson Sparks. He is survived by: Two Sons: James Boyd Sparks (Cathy), Irvine Dwight Anthony Sparks (Teresa), Irvine One Brother: Jess Sparks, Irvine 6 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren In addition to his wife and parents Mr. Sparks was preceded in death by two daughters, Anita Fay Sparks and Rita Kay Sparks; three sisters: Frances Webb, Effie Horn, and Ethel Kindrek; and two brothers: Bill and Hershel Sparks. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home chapel by Bro. Terry Barnes. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery. Friends may call between 6 and 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers: Alfred Webb, Ronnie Webb, Sam Webb, Derek Sparks, Dennis Sparks, and Chad Brothers.
