James Ottie Mays, age 83, of Broadway in Irvine passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at the Compassionate Care Center after a short illness.He was born October 18, 1930 in Lee County and was the son of the late Edd and Alma Burns Mays.He was a retired CSX Railroad employee and attended the Ravenna Church of God.He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the American Legion.He had lived in Estill County most of his life.He is survived by: His wife:Beulah Spicer Mays 3 Daughters:Rhonda Boian ; husband, Tim Estill Co. Regina West ; husband, Wayne Estill Co. Elizabeth Neal Estill Co. 2 Sisters:Phyllis Swanger California Norma Hamilton ; husband, Roger Frankfort 1 Brother:Billy Mays ; wife, Jo Ann Kingston 14 Grandchildren 15 Great Grandchildren Beulah's Children:Stacy Torres London Kimberly Mahoney Lexington Mark Riddell ; wife, Lisa Estill Co. Melissa Neal ; partner, Debbie Brown Berea Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 29, 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Willie Hargus Gordon.Burial will be at the West Irvine Cemetery.Friends may call after 10:30 AM Friday at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home. Pallbearers:Wayne West, Benjamin Neal, Christian Neal, Samuel Webb, Elijah Dawson and Mark Riddell
