Obituary for James C. Mastin
James Churchill Mastin, age 83, of Campbells Branch Road in Ravenna passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at the Pattie A. Clay Regional Medical Center after a short illness.He was born February 3, 1929 in Perry County and was the son of the late Edward and Cindy Couch Mastin.He was a former coal miner and was retired from the Appalachian Regional Hospital.He was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge.He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during World War II.He had lived in Perry County most of his life.He is survived by: His wife:Nana Lou Merrill Mastin His daughter:Audrey M. Baker ; husband, Darrell Ravenna 2 Grandchildren:Kristin Ballard ; husband, Monte Darren James Baker 2 Great Grandchildren:Caleb Hunter Ballard and Byron Blye Baker He was preceded in death by 1 sister, Hazel Morris and 1 brother, Harold Mastin. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 8, 3 PM at the Friendship Baptist Church by Bro. Scott Rogers and Bro. Jim Slush.Burial will be at the Oakdale Cemetery.Friends may call between 1 and 3 PM Saturday at the Friendship Baptist Church.Warren F. Toler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Estill County Senior Citizens Center. Pallbearers:D.J.
