Jackie Griffin, age 75, of Waterside Drive in Irvine, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at the University of Kentucky Hospital following a short illness. He was born June 21, 1950, in Estill County, and was the son of the late Sidney Griffin Jr. and Mattie Jane Edmonson Griffin. He retired from the United States Postal Service, and he was a former member of the Army Reserves. Jackie was of the Baptist Faith, and he had lived in Estill County all his life. He is survived by:

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 brother, Pete Dawes, and 2 sisters-in-law, Alma Dawes and Regina Witt, 2 brothers-in-law, Ronald Estes and Melvin Lynch, and his mother and father-in-law, May and Adolph Richardson
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 22, 1 PM, at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kenneth Sparks officiating. Burial will be at the Amos Richardson Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 11 AM to 1 PM.
