Iva Jean Powell, age 89, of Crooked Creek Road in Irvine, passed away Friday, May 19, 2023, at her home following a long illness. She was born October 17, 1933, in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Ollie and Orah Walton Warford. She was a homemaker and had lived in Estill County most of her life. She attended the Blooming Grove Family Worship Center and was a member of the Friends of the Bluegrass. She was preceded in death by her husband, Randy Powell, and is survived by:

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Corah Lee Powell, her brother, Billy Joe Warford, her daughter-in-law, Cindy Powell, her grandson, Russell Howard, and her son-in-law, Joseph Miller.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 23, 2 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jeff Adams officiating. Burial will be at the Powell Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 12 to 2 PM.
