Henry Buford Alcorn, age 102, of Wisemantown Road in Irvine passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014, at the Marcum ; Wallace Memorial Hospital following a short illness.He was born September 8, 1912 in Estill County and was the son of the late Henry and Louisa Tipton Alcorn.He was a retired Carhartt, Inc. employee and a member of the Wisemantown Methodist Church.He had lived in Estill County all of his life.He is survived by: His wife:Vicie Smyth Alcorn 1 Son:William Ray Alcorn ; wife, Sue Kettering, OH 1 Step-Son: Arthur Gene Ballard ; wife, Janice Irvine 3 Grandchildren 2 Step-Grandchildren 4 Great Grandchildren 3 Step-Great Grandchildren 2 Great-Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by 6 sisters; Etta Colter, Ellen Rogers, Eva Alcorn, Carrie Wiseman, Clara Miracle and Rebecca Alcorn and 5 brothers; Vernon, Virgil, John, Tom and Clarence Alcorn. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 17, 1 PM at the Wisemantown Methodist Church by Bro. Jerry Beck and Bro. Greg McClellan.Burial will be at the Sunset Memorial Gardens.Friends may call after 11 AM Wednesday at the Wisemantown Methodist Church. Pallbearers:Phil Henry, Bart Alcorn, Arnold Alcorn, Tom Henderson, Randall Ballard and Arthur David Ballard
