Obituary for Harry Columbus Jones
Harry Columbus Jones, age 95, of Witt Ridge Road in Irvine passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at the Marcum ; Wallace Memorial Hospital following a short illness. He was born August 14, 1922 in Clark County, KY and was the son of the late Alonzo Scott and Olivia Warner Jones. He was a retired farmer and construction worker and a member of the River Drive Christian Church. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II and had lived in Estill County most of his life. He is survived by: His wife: Anita Faye Crowe Jones 1 Daughter: Marian Carpenter Winchester 4 Sons: Timothy Karl (Patricia) Jones Richmond Gary (Sandy) Jones Texas Scott (Joann) Jones Irvine Tom (Susie) Jones Florida 2 Sisters: Nancy Kistner Ohio Virginia Ann Smith Irvine 1 Brother: Emmett Lee Jones Nevada 12 Grandchildren Several Great-Grandchildren He was preceded in death by 1 son, Terry Jones, 2 sisters; Julia Mae Parker and Juanita Griggs and 5 brothers; Cornelius 'Buddy', Kenneth, Lonnie Paul, Cecil Edward and John William Jones. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 29, 1 PM at the River Drive Christian Church by Bro. Paul Groves. Burial will be at the South Irvine Cemetery. Friends may call between 6 and 9 PM Thursday at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home and after 12 PM Friday at the Church.
