Hargus Straud Rawlins, age 60, of Cobb Hill Road in Irvine passed away Saturday, March 3, 2012, at the Central Baptist Hospital.He was born March 25, 1951 in Estill County and was the son of the late John Mitchell and Mary V. Newton Rawlins.He was a retired truck driver and a member of the American Legion Post 79 in Irvine.He had lived in Estill County most of his life.He is survived by: His wife:Connie Russell Rawlins 1 Son:Douglas Shane Rawlins Franklin, OH 4 Step-Children:Sarah Nichols Irvine Richard Shockley Ohio Wayne Shockley Oklahoma Tim Shockley Tennessee 5 Sisters:Blanche Alcorn Irvine Alice Winkler Ohio Daphney Alcorn Ohio Golden Turner Ohio Irene Lay Lexington 13 Grandchildren Several nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 5 brothers. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 7, 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Dean Rawlins.Burial will be at the Sparks Cemetery.Friends may call between 6 and 9 PM Tuesday at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.
