Obituary for Hargus Harris
Hargus Harris, age 85, of Holiday Lane in Mooresville, Indiana passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018, at his home following a long illness. He was born January 18, 1933 in Estill County and was the son of the late Arnold and Pearlie Isaacs Harris. He was a retired truck driver and former owner of Bick ; Harris Nursery. He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the Pine Hill Baptist Church. He had lived in Estill County most of his life. He is survived by: His wife: Helen Merida Harris 2 Daughters: Janet (Mike) Bennett Indiana Deborah (Robert) Williamson Indiana 1 Son: Roger (Laura) Harris Florida 3 Sisters: Opal (Stan) Fox Estill Co. Ora Lee (Harold) Isaacs Estill Co. Kathy Harris Ohio 2 Brothers: Troy (Cleeta) Harris Estill Co. Leonard (Hallie B.) Harris Estill Co. 8 Grandchildren 6 Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by 1 sister, Evelyn Stevens and 4 brothers; Ernest, Glen, Earl and Hearl Harris. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 15, 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at the South Irvine Cemetery. Friends may call after 10 AM Wednesday at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.
