Obituary for George Newton
George Newton, age 72, of Macedonia Road in Irvine, KY passed away Thursday, February 22, 2013 at his home following a long illness. He was born November 23, 1940 in Estill County, a son of the late Dillard and Daisy Canter Newton. He was a construction worker and had lived in Estill County all of his life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gearldine Young Newton. He is survived by: Five Daughters: Farrell Newton, Estill County Ella Dunn and husband, Randall, Estill County Carol Brandenburg and husband, Tony, Estill County Melissa Boyken and husband, Keith, Estill County Teresa Stevens and boyfriend, Mike Wilson, Estill County Two Sisters: Jewel Young, Estill County Annie Berryman, Estill County Three Brothers: Shelby Newton, Estill County Odell Newton, Estill County Manford Newton, Estill County Twelve Grandchildren: Felicia Fowler, Shaun Rose, Robbie Young, Shane Young, Denisha Marcum, Alicia Hankins, Cassandra Brandenburg, Anthony Brandenburg, Mechelle Boyken, Jessica Boyken, Joshua Stevens, and Lee Young. Sixteen Great Grandchildren: Kayla, Brittney, Braxton, Sydeny, Trenton, Shane Allen, Traylee, Isaiah, Kaliah, Jonah, Kamryn, Ayden, Cody, Brentley, Blake, and Lamieria. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Farrell Jean Newton and Christine Newton Hopper; and three brothers: Jimmy, Junior, and Edward Newton. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 25, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home by Bro. Jerry Chaney. Burial will follow in the Young ; Newton Cemetery. Friends may call between 6 and 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
