George Hardy, age 84, a resident of the Irvine Nursing and Rehab Center, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2024, at his home following a long illness. He was born September 21, 1939, in Estill County and was the son of the late Kiser and Rachel Step Hardy. He was a retired Construction Worker and had lived in Estill County all his life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Walters Hardy, and he is survived by:
1 daughter: Delisa Miller - Estill Co.
3 sons: Randy Hardy - Estill Co.
Tim (Sonya) Hardy - Estill Co.
Steve (Tambo) Hardy - Estill Co.
8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by 8 brothers, Glendon, Harvey, Marion, Tracy, James, Estill, Leon, Jessie Hardy, and his son-in-law, Tony Miller.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 11, 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Rose officiating. Burial will be at the Hardy Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11 AM to 1 PM
