George Edward Kissick, Jr., age 76, of Park Avenue in Irvine, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at the Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital following a long illness. He was born April 24, 1947, in Madison County and was the son of the late George Edward and Nellie Burchett Kissick. He was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a retired owner of the Estill Ice Company and attended the Catholic Church. He had lived in Estill County all his life and is survived by:

2 brothers: Roger Kissick - Irvine
Kim Kissick - Indiana
4 grandchildren: Cole Edward Kissick, Erin Kissick, Avery Kissick, and Simon Kissick
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Diana Kissick Henry.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, October 1, 2:30 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Skip Johnson officiating. Burial will be at the Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 6 to 9 PM at the Funeral Home.
