
Gary Mitchell Worrell, age 69, of Brookview Drive in Talladega, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at the Village of Cook Springs in Pell City following a short illness. He was born October 7, 1955, in Madison County and was the son of the late Harold and Edna Arlene Isaacs Worrell. Gary graduated from Kentucky School for the Deaf in 1973 and later attended the Arkansas School for the Blind Adult Program in Little Rock, Arkansas. From there he moved to Talladega where he was employed with the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind (AIDB) and was employed there for 30 years. He received multiple awards for his work and was recognized not only in Talladega but also in Washington, DC for his achievements. Gary was a member of the Thomas Baptist Church. He is survived by:

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 14, 11 AM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Sherl Thomas officiating. Burial will be at the Joe Miller Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 6 to 9 PM.
