Obituary for Garrett Edward Ballard

Garrett Edward Ballard, age 85, of Geneva Avenue in Irvine, passed away Monday, December 30, 2024, at his home following a short illness. He was born September 13, 1939, in Estill County and was the son of Crawford and Julie Catherine McIntosh Gaines. He was a member of the Ravenna Church of the Nazarene and a former member of the National Guards. He was a business owner and had lived in Estill County all his life. He is survived by:

2 sons: Gary (Jamie) Ballard - Irvine

Randy Ballard - Richmond

2 grandchildren: Shawn (Samantha) Ballard

Jon Tracy (Sara) Ballard

4 great grandchildren

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy Hall and Martha Miller.

Private graveside services were conducted Sunday, January 5, 2 PM at the Newton Cemetery with Bro. Chris Winkler officiating. The Warren F. Toler Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
