Obituary for Garnie "Bud" Walters, Jr.
Garnie 'Bud' Walters, Jr., age 86, of Bond Street in Irvine passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016, at his home following a long illness. He was born December 17, 1929 in Estill County and was the son of the late Garnie Walters, Sr. and Fannie Mae Hunt Walters. He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the American Legion. He was a retired Carhartt, Inc. employee. He is survived by: His wife: Virginia Peters Walters 1 Sister: Martha Fowler Irvine 1 Brother: Charles 'Dobbin' Walters Irvine He was preceded in death by 2 sisters; Pauline Ballard and Ethel Stacy and 1 brother, Jerry Walters. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 16, 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Rob Steinbrook. Burial will be at the West Irvine Cemetery. Friends may call after 11 AM Saturday at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.
