Frederick H. Helmick Jr., born on May 1, 1956, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025, in Lexington, KY. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many others.
Fred is survived by his loving wife Patricia, his daughter Tiffany, and his cherished grandchildren Nysa Damien and Lilibet He also leaves behind his loving sisters Debbie Biddle and Julie Helmick (Kenneth) Fair, and former brother-in-law Steve Mattingly who shared lifelong memories of love and pursuits with him. He was preceded in death by his mother Corinne K Helmick, his father Frederick H Helmick Sr., and brother Michael W Helmick. He also leaves behind nephews, Stephen R Mattingly Jr., Christopher M Mattingly, Andrew S Mattingly, and Jordan L Mattingly, and nieces Skylar J Mattingly, Ashely Cornett and Jaclyn Gross.
Fred had many accomplishments. He started his home medical company Respiratory Express in Irvine, Kentucky, and worked as a respiratory therapist. He also was an accomplished musician and was in a band. Fred built a peaceful home in the country, in Lee County Ky. He loved it very much and was proud of it. Fred had many friends that loved him.
Fred was a Christian and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Richmond, Kentucky and he loved the Lord with all his heart. He looked forward to the second coming of Christ and going to heaven.
A memorial service will be held to honor Fred’s life at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home (99 Cedar Grove Road Irvine Ky 40336) on Sunday, Nov 16th 2025, at 2 PM. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 12 to 2 PM.
His presence laughter and music will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love of dedication will carry on through all who knew him.
