Fred Arthur, age 89, of Locomotive Street in Irvine, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024, at his home following a long illness. He was born March 27, 1934, in Estill County and was the son of the late Everett and Myrtle Lee Crowe Arthur. He was a former owner of Arthur’s Body Shop and was a member of the First Christian Church. He had lived in Estill County all his life. He is survived by:

Melissa (Dawayne) Woosley - Madison Co.
2 sons: Billy Dean (Sharon) Arthur - Estill Co.
Ricky (Connie) Arthur - Estill Co.
4 brothers: Linville Arthur - Estill Co.
H.M. Arthur - Estill Co.
Earl Arthur - Estill Co.
Wallace Arthur - Fayette Co.
8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Teddie Mae Gray Arthur, 1 sister, Geneva Arthur, and 4 brothers, Cornelius Arthur, Gerald Arthur, Frank Arthur and Everett Arthur, Jr.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 29, 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Keith Weldon officiating. Burial will be at the Crowe Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 11 AM to 1 PM.
