Obituary for Eugene Embree
Eugene Embree, 74, of Crooked Creek Road in Irvine passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012 at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center in Richmond after a long illness.He was born April 7, 1938 in Estill County and was a son of the late Huey and Hazel Babb Embree.He was a farmer and had lived in Estill County most of his life.Mr. Embree was a member of the holiness faith and was a loving husband and devoted father who had dedicated his life to the caring of his family.He is survived by: Three Daughters:Wilma York (Bobby)Madison Co. Janet Northern (David)Madison Co. Michelle Begley (Michael)Estill Co. Three Sons:Roger Embree (Virginia)Madison Co. Randy Embree (Lisa)Estill Co. Jason EmbreeEstill Co. One Step-Child:Danny McKinney (Jeaneine)Madison Co. One Brother:Arthur Embry (Thelma)Estill Co. 14 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, 7 Step Grandchildren, and 9 Step-Great Grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by: two sisters, Louise Arvin and Gracie Mae Embree; and three brothers, Chester Embree, Robert Embry and Shannon Embree. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Bruce Alcorn and Bro. David Ballard.Burial will follow in Flatwoods Cemetery.Friends may call between 6 and 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers: John Northern, Brian York, Justin Begley, Kyle Embree, Mark Stepp and Billy Gene Stepp.
