Elmer Goosey, Jr., age 68, of Worrells Road in Irvine passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014, at the Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington after a long illness.He was born September 16, 1945 in Madison County and was the son of the late Elmer, Sr. and Pearl Conner Goosey.He was a roofer and had lived in Estill County most of his life.He is survived by: 3 Daughters:Shelia Thomas Estill Co. Lisa Rose Johnson Jessamine Co. Pamela Brooks Estill Co. 1 Son:Aaron Goosey Estill Co. 3 Sisters:Barbara Richardson Estill Co. Brenda Logsdon Madison Co. Geraldine Chaney Estill Co. 3 Brothers:Raymond Goosey Estill Co. Randall Goosey Estill Co. Billy Goosey Estill Co. 5 Grandchildren:Jessica Rose, Ryan Thomas, Lauren Hall, Connor Brooks and Haley Goosey Loving Companion:Cheryl Loved by several step-children and step-grandchildren He was preceded in death by 1 sister, Shirley Estes and 1 grandchild, Magen Thomas. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, March 2, 2 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Beverly Arvin.Burial will be at the Goosey Cemetery.Friends may call between 6 and 9 PM Saturday at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.
