Elinor Wise Murphy, age 83, of Smyth Lane in Ravenna, passed away Monday, March 10, 2025, at the Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital following a long illness. She was born May 2, 1941, in Estill County and was the daughter of the late George and Bessie Neal Wise. She retired from Sylvania where she had worked for 32 years. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel Christian Church and a former member of the Eastern Star. She loved reading her Bible and word search puzzles. Her most favorite place to go on Friday nights was Cracker Barrel. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Elbie “Mudduck” Murphy, Jr. and is survived by:

3 grandchildren: Ashley (Philip) Riddell, Kylea (Micah) Rose, Jared Kiser
7 great grandchildren: Kennedy, Cade, Cole, Korbin, Everly, Jude, and Acacia
She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Nellie Bea Wise, Elizabeth Ann Wise, and 5 brothers, Terry David Wise, Herschel Wayne Wise, Eddie Wise, Bill Wise, and Wilbur Wise.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 13, 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Pearson officiating. Burial will be at the Tipton Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6 to 9 PM.
