Edward Thomas Rice, age 66, of Bill Hill Avenue in Richmond, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at his home following a long illness. He was born March 5, 1957, in Clark County and was the son of the late Edward and Nettie Estes Rice. He was a retired employee of the City of Richmond and a member of the New Life Worship Center. He loved playing his bass guitar. He lived in Estill County most of his life. He is survived by:

11 grandchildren: Bella Rice, Lilly Bowling, Morgan (Kenton) Garrett, McKenna Bowling, Tanner Bowling, Haley (Justin) Counterman, Luke (Makenzie) Wilkinson, Ridge (Haley) Wilkinson, Madison Isaacs, Reagan Isaacs, and Gracie Isaacs
6 great grandchildren: Georgia Roberts, Margo Roberts, Alayne Counterman, Barrett Counterman, Spencer Counterman, and Maddox Wilkinson
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lois Murphy.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 2, 1 PM, at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Johnny King and Bro. Steve Masters officiating. Burial will be at the Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Funeral Home.
