
Edward Frank Farmer, age 87, of Red Lick Road in Irvine, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Lexington following a short illness. He was born July 18, 1937, in South Irvine and was the son of the late Finley Frank and Fannie Brandenburg Farmer. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was owner of Farmer’s Electrical Service He was a member of the VFW, the America Legion, and the Irvine Masonic Lodge F&AM 137. He had lived in Estill County most of his life. He is survived by:

6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Joseph M. “Jay” King, III, 3 sisters, Marie Gregory, Virgie Jones, Nancy Besten, and 1 brother, Ernest L. Farmer.
Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, March 4, 1 PM at the Sunset Memorial Gardens with Andrew Farmer officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.
