Edna Louise Reeves, age 76, of Richmond Road in Irvine, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023, at her home. She was born April 20, 1947, in Knott County and was the daughter of the late Gurnie and Hattie Mosley Slone. She was retired from Carhartt, Inc. and had lived in Estill County most of her life. She is survived by:
1 daughter: Michelle (Jack) Baker - Columbus, OH
4 sons: Michael (Eden) Slone - Stanford
Freddie Reeves - Richmond
Kenneth Reeves - Ravenna
James Reeves - Irvine
2 sisters: Ruby Miller - Michigan
Carolyn Hall - Paris
1 brother: Gurnie Slone, Jr. - Hazard
5 grandchildren: Brianna (Brian) Putthoff, Alexa Slone, Taylor Reeves, Carlyn Reeves, and Lyla Reeves
2 great grandchildren: Wyatt and Emilie Putthoff
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Reeves, 2 sisters, Nancy Hejda, Josephine Jennings, and 1 brother, David Slone.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 13, 11 AM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at the Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6 to 9 PM at the Funeral Home.
