Obituary for Draxie Elizabeth Gooch McMillan
Draxie Elizabeth Gooch McMillan, age 94, of Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Friday, September 30, at her home following a short illness. She was born August 19, 1922, in Letcher County, a daughter of the late Jennings Bryan and Kate Meade Gooch. She was a former cashier and bookkeeper with Kroger and had lived in Ravenna most of her life. She was a member of the Irvine First Baptist Church. She was a former president of the Estill County Garden Club and a former member of the Estill County Homemakers Association. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Loyd McMillan. She is survived by: A Daughter: Debra Nanette Rogers Hopkinsville A Son: Lloyd Randall McMillan Lexington 2 Grandchildren 4 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by 1 Sister, Ina Gooch Hall, and 3 Brothers, Vernon Gooch, James Gooch, and Kenneth Gooch. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday 11 AM at the Irvine First Baptist Church by Bro. Chris Winkler with burial to follow in the Oakdale Cemetery. Friends may call between 6 and 9 PM Tuesday at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Irvine First Baptist Church.
