Obituary for Dorothy Lee Powell
Dorothy Lee Crowe Powell, age 96, of Elm Street in Ravenna passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014, at the Irvine Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a long illness.She was born February 4, 1918 in Powell County and was the daughter of the late Owen and Lelia Crowe Armitage.She was a retired seamstress with Loma Manufacturing and was a member of the Estill County Homemakers.She was a member of the White Oak Church of God and the church's Ladies Home Mission.She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Raymond Powell.She is survived by: 3 Daughters:Mae Tibbs ; husband, Arliss Ohio Brenda Smyth ; husband, Bill Ohio Carolyn Powell ; husband, Greg Estill Co. 2 Sons:Breck Powell ; wife, Libby Estill Co. Tommy Powell ; wife, Pearl Estill Co. 17 Grandchildren 37 Great Grandchildren 13 Great-Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Russell and Harold Armitage. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 20, 11 AM at the White Oak Church of God by Bro. Glyndon Woosley.Burial will be at the White Oak Cemetery.Friends may call between 6 and 9 PM Monday at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home and after 10 AM Tuesday at the Church.
