Obituary for Donald James Sheeks, Sr.
Donald James Sheeks, Sr., age 63, of North Sulphur Wells Road in Irvine passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017, at the Compassionate Care Center following a long illness. He was born February 6, 1954 in Bedford, Indiana and was the son of the late James Reath Sheeks and Marilyn Bussey Sheeks Mornout. He was a retired police officer who served with the Irvine Police Department and Eastern Kentucky University. He was a member of the Panola Baptist Church and was a Kentucky Colonel. He had lived in Estill County most of his life. He is survived by: His wife: Judy Ann Cockrell Sheeks 1 daughter: Melissa Puckett North Carolina 1 son: Donald Sheeks, Jr. Estill Co. 2 Brothers: John Sheeks Texas David Sheeks Florida 3 Grandchildren: Makayla Ann Sheeks, Madison Nicole Puckett and Malachi Belegy. He was preceded in death by 1 sister, Donna Jean Sheeks. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 10, 11 AM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Marvin Neal. Burial will be at the Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends may call between 6 and 9 PM Monday at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.
