Obituary for Delmas Leon Tipton
Delmas Leon Tipton, age 82, of Wiseman Crossing in Irvine, passed away Friday at the Marcum and Wallace Memorial Hospital following a long illness.He was born January 19, 1933, in Estill County, a son of the late Warren and Alene Hamilton Tipton.He retired from Bundy Tubing and was a farmer.He was a member of the White Oak Church of God and had lived in Estill County all of his life.He was a Kentucky Colonel.He was preceded in death by his Wife, Georgia Mae Wiseman Tipton.He is survived by: A Son: Steven Tipton Estill 4 Sisters: Loretta Crowe Estill Thelma Frymear Midway Connie Melear Harrodsburg Sue Hazelwood Owensboro 2 Brothers: Burnell Tipton North Carolina Ronnie Tipton Estill 2 Grandchildren: Joseph Tipton Jeffery Tipton 1 Great Grandchild: Sylas Tipton In addition to his wife, he is also preceded in death by 3 Siblings: Ruth Moreland, James Tipton, and Gary Tipton. Funeral services will be conducted Monday 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Glyndon Woosley with burial to follow at the Wiseman Cemetery.Friends may call between 6 and 9 PM on Sunday night at the funeral home.
