Obituary for Della Muncie
Della Marie Isaacs Muncie, age 91, passed away Monday, June 10, 2013 at Marcum ; Wallace Memorial Hospital. She was born August 23, 1921 in Estill County and was a daughter of the late James and Susan Alice Sparks Isaacs. Mrs. Muncie was a homemaker and the former owner of Muncie's Grocery. She had lived in Estill County all of her life. Mrs. Muncie was a charter member of Ravenna Church of the Nazarene, where she was a former Sunday School teacher and had worked with the children's ministries. She is survived by: Her husband: Victor Preston Muncie, Estill County Two daughters: Janice Ballard (Arthur), Estill County Crystal Tingle (Theo), Florida Daughter-in-Law: Harriett Muncie, Richmond, KY Five Grandchildren: Thea Karen Ritchie (Mark), Arthur David Ballard (Shonna), Randall Ballard, Kevis Scott Tingle, and Amy Dahlman (Joe) Mrs. Muncie is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Victor W. Muncie; four sisters: Pearl Dunaway, Ethel Moore, Mattie Tursany and Edna Estes; and two brothers: Nathan Isaacs and Leonard Isaacs. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2013 at Ravenna Nazarene Church by Bro. Bob Mills, Bro. Rob Steinbrook, and Bro. Warren Toler. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends may call between 6 and 9 p.m. Thursday at Warren F. Toler Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. Friday at Ravenna Nazarene Church.
