Delilah Smyth Hall Gould, age 98, of Cobb Hill Road in Irvine, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023, at her home following a short illness. She was born May 9, 1925, in Lee County and was the daughter of the late Walter and Myrtle Hall Smyth. She was a retired employee of A.O. Smith Manufacturing and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She had lived in Estill County most of her life. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Loyd Hall and Nathan Gould. She is survived by:
1 daughter: Laura Minix - Estill Co.
1 son: Gregory Scott Hall - Estill Co.
5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by 3 sons; Daniel Loyd Hall, George Steven Hall, Walter Douglas Hall, 4 sisters; Ann Childers, Gertie Edwards, Gladys Gross, Shirley Hall, and 5 brothers; Edward, Don, Gerald, Ben, and Gary Smyth.
Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, June 10, 11 AM at the Cobhill Crossroads Community Church with Zachary Minix officiating. The Warren F. Toler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
