Danny Ray McKinney, age 68, of Claiborne Drive in Richmond, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the University of Kentucky Hospital following a long illness. He was born December 3, 1956, in Jackson County and was the son of the late Eugene Embree and Margaret Estes Embree. He was a retired Farmer and a former member of the National Guard. He had lived in Estill County for most of his life. He is survived by:

Michelle Begley (Michael) - Madison Co.
3 brothers: Roger Embree (Virginia) - Madison Co.
Randy Embree (Lisa) - Estill Co.
Jason Embree - Estill Co.
12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 sister, Phyllis McKinney, and 1 grandchild, Jaxton McKinney.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 10, 1 PM, at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at the Flatwoods Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 11 AM to 1 PM.
