Corena “Rena” Latham, age 92, of Brandenburg, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the Helmwood Healthcare Center in Elizabethtown. She was born November 6, 1933, in Noland (Estill County), KY, and was the daughter of the late Hubert and Ruth Phoenix Walton. She was a retired manager for McCory’s Restaurant and was a member of the Rehobeth Presbyterian Church. She had lived in Estill County most of her life. She is survived by:
1 daughter: Janet Lynn Stamper - South Carolina
7 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Scott Latham, 2 daughters, Letresia Charlene Miller, Sharon Ruth Jones, 3 sisters, Shirley Cox, Juanita Ramey, Bobbie Louise Chaney, and 1 brother, Claude Walton.
A private burial was held at the Walton Cemetery in Estill County and a memorial service will be held at a later date. The Warren F. Toler Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
