Obituary for Charlie Tipton
Charlie Tipton, age 72, of Winchester Road in Irvine passed away Thursday, August 11, 2016. He was born February 23, 1944 in Estill County and was the son of the late Rice and Elizabeth McIntosh Tipton. He was a former Trane employee where he worked for 27 years and retired from the Bluegrass Army Depot. He served 20 years as a National Guardsman and was a member of the American Legion. He is survived by; 1 Son: Kevin W. Tipton Estill Co. 1 Sister: Rose Lee Turner Estill Co. 1 Grandchild: Sierra Tipton His fianc: Nancy Rhodes He was preceded in death by 3 sisters; Lorene Gibbs, Louise Neal and Dorothy Gross and 1 brother, Arnold Tipton. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, August 15, 11 AM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Glendon Woosley. Burial will be at the Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends may call between 6 and 9 PM Sunday at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.
