Obituary for Charles Williams, Jr.
Charles Williams, Jr., age 89, of Burton Williams Road in Irvine passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014, at his home following a short illness.He was born August 22, 1924 in Estill County and was the son of the late Charles Sr. and Louella Stevens Williams.He was a farmer and a retired Leggett and Platt employee.He was a United States Army veteran of World War II and had lived in Estill County all of his life.He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma D. Berry Williams.He is survived by: 1 daughter:Nancy Lou Held ; husband, Mike Madison Co. 1 son:Charles 'Tommy' Williams ; wife, Barbara Estill Co. 3 grandchildren:Anthony Williams (Tonya), Steven Held and Cindy Held 1 great grandchild:Hanna Mae Williams He was preceded in death by 2 sisters; Sara Ann Means and Fannie Mae Williams, 1 brother, Cecil Dillard Williams and 1 grandchild, Rebecca Williams. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 7, 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. David Watson.Burial will be at the Sally Poer Cemetery.Friends may call between 6 and 9 PM Monday at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.
