Charles E. Smith, age 90, a resident of the Irvine Nursing and Rehab Center, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2025, at his home following a long illness. He was born December 21, 1934, in Perry County, and was the son of the late George Smith and Alma Edwards Smith. He was a farmer and a retired supervisor for Bundy Tubing. He was a United States Army veteran, and he had lived in Estill County for most of his life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Puckett Smith, and he is survived by:

Several nieces and nephews
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Jewell, June, and Jetta, and 5 brothers, Willie, Paul, Clyde, Travis, and Bert Smith.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, June 29, 1 PM, at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at the Puckett Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 11 AM to 1 PM.
