Carrie Jo Estes Sewell, age 79, of Race Track Road in Irvine, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at her home following a sudden illness. She was born January 24, 1945, in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Lemon and Callie Horn Estes. She was retired from Hart Schaffner Marx and from the Estill County School System where she worked as a Kitchen Manager. She was a member of the Corinth Christian Church and she had lived in Estill County all her life. She is survived by:

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Lois Walters, Anna Walters, and Lula B. Sewell, and 2 brothers, Charlie Estes, and Lemon Estes Jr.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 3, 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Linville Dunaway and Bro. Dennis Pasley officiating. Burial will be at the Fielder Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11 AM to 1 PM.
