Bonnie Clay Stone, age 95, a resident of McCready Manor in Richmond, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023, at the Compassionate Care Center. He was born July 13, 1927, in Estill County and was the son of Frank and Noomie Allen Stone. He retired from the CSX Railroad and had lived in Louisville most of his life. He was a member of the South Louisville Christian Church and was a 60-year member of the Suburban Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Harris Stone and is survived by:
1 daughter: Debra Hopper - La Grange
1 son: David Stone - Hernando, Mississippi
Special stepson: Raymond Harris - Clearwater, Florida
1 brother: Jim Stone - Lexington
6 grandchildren and several great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister, Helen McDonald, and 2 brothers, Lloyd Stone, and Wayne Stone.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 18, 11 AM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home with Bro. Marvin Neal officiating. Burial will be at the Sally Poer Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 6 to 8 PM.
