Obituary for Bobby L. Rose
Bobby L. Rose, age 83, of Drowning Creek Ridge in Irvine passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at the Marcum ; Wallace Memorial Hospital following a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. He was born January 28, 1934 in Estill County and was the son of the late Farris and Rebecca Richardson Rose. He was a paralegal, a former County Judge and a retired teacher with the Estill County School System. He was a member of the Providence Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon for 50 years and a member of the Irvine-Ravenna Kiwanis Club. He was retired from the United States Army Reserves where he served for 23 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Barnes Rose. He is survived by: 1 Son: Mark L. Rose Irvine 1 Grandchild: Amber Rose Marcum ; husband, Joseph 1 Great Grandchild: Hagen Joe Marcum and 1 expected Great Grandchild He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Farris Dean Rose and Roderic F. Rose. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 19, 11 AM at the Providence Baptist Church by Bro. Ronald Lutes and Bro. Bill VanWinkle. Burial will be at the Turpin Cemetery. Friends may call between 6 and 9 PM Thursday at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.
