Obituary for Bobby Gene Melton
Bobby Gene Melton, age 64, of Eastland Drive in Lexington passed away Thursday, August 25, 2011, at the Compassionate Care Center after a short illness.He was born March 20, 1947 in Fayette County and was the son of the late Robert and Lona Sams Melton. He was a truck driver with Allied Trucking and attended the Pentecostal Church.He had lived in Lexington all of his life.He is survived by: 1 Daughter:Jhonda Gonzalez Perez and husband, Oscar Lexington 1 Son:Bobby Dean Melton Lexington 1 Brother:Ray Melton and wife, Nannie Irvine 6 Grandchildren 1 Great Grandchild He was preceded in death by 6 sisters; Dorothy Smallwood, Mamie Shanks, Virginia Riddell, Laura Newman, Vola Watkins and Mary Wardle and 1 brother, Bill Melton. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 27, 11 AM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Jerry Rose and Bro. Johnny Wardle.Burial will be at the Johnson Cemetery.Friends may call between 6 and 9 PM Friday at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.
