Blanche Rison Miller, age 87, of Sandhill Church Road in Irvine, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at the Baptist Health Hospital in Richmond following a long illness. She was born June 30, 1936, in Clark County and was the daughter of the late Earl and Rachel Embry Rison. She was a Store Clerk and a member of the Mt. Carmel Christian Church. She had lived in Estill County for most of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Miller, and she is survived by:
1 daughter: Lou Ann (Darrell) Hall - Estill Co.
1 son: Earl Glenn (Carolyn) Miller - Garrett Co.
2 sisters: Ida Mae Ashcraft - Estill Co.
Barbara Sue Albritton - Florida
1 brother: Clarence (Sheila) Rison - Estill Co.
2 daughters-in-law: Alesia Miller - Madison Co.
Delisa Miller - Estill Co.
9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 sons, Jackie Gayle Miller and Floyd Anthony “Tony” Miller, 3 sisters, Kathryn Cornelius, Louise Rogers, and Elizabeth Fielder, 3 brothers, Johnny J.B. Rison, Tracy Rison, and Dwight Rison, and 1 great grandchild, Jacob Wilder Rapier.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 4, 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Pearson and Bro. Clarence Rison officiating. Burial will be at the West Irvine Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11 AM to 1 PM.
