Betty Lou Courtney, age 94, of Tucky Lane in Irvine, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond following a short illness. She was born June 28, 1931, in Hilo, Hawaii, and was the daughter of the late Joseph Victorino and Emelinda Farias Victorino. She was a former Waitress at the Parasol Restaurant in California, and she had lived in Estill County since 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Franklin Courtney, and she is survived by:

Tammy (Eddie) Whitesell - Nevada
2 sons: Robert Paul (Debbie) Courtney - Georgia
William Franklin Courtney Jr. - Nevada
1 sister: Linda Choy - Hawaii
10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Sally Craine and Bernice Spurlock, 4 brothers, Delphin Victorino, Herbert Victorino, Stanley Voctorino, and William Victorino, and 1 grandchild.
Private services will be held at a later date. The Warren F. Toler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
