Betty Faye Ashcraft Johnson, age 87, of Hiawatha Trail in Winchester, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the Clark Regional Hospital in Winchester following a long illness. She was born May 27, 1938, in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Ambrose Ashcraft and Stella Puckett Ashcraft. She was a homemaker and a member of the Forest Grove Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Johnson, and she is survived by:
1 daughter: Sheila Chapman (Harry) - Clark Co.
1 son: Johnny Johnson - Cincinnati
2 grandchildren: Shawn Chapman (Jessica) and Melissa Brown (James)
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Donna Phillips, 4 sisters, Glorine Dennis, Peanut Napier, Amy Dawes, and Eva Brinegar, and 3 brothers, Jess, Ed, and Roy Ashcraft.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 26, 12 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steven Moore officiating. Burial will be at the Crowe Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11 AM to 12 PM.
