Obituary for Bessie Mae Marcum Reece
Bessie Mae Marcum Reece, age 91, of Richmond, passed away Friday at the Baptist Health Richmond Hospital after a short illness.She was born June 15, 1923, in Estill County, the daughter of the late Chester and Lizzie Mansfield Marcum.She was a homemaker and had lived in Madison County most of her life.She was a member of the Lyndon St. Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Reece.She is survived by: 5 Daughters: Elizabeth Davis Gladys Hoover (William) Louise Hyatt Thelma Hoover (James) Susie Tuggle 3 Sons: William Reece (Madelene) Tracie Reece (Mary) Paul Reece (Clair) 1 Sister: Dessie Burton 30 Grandchildren 52 Great Grandchildren 27 Great Great Grandchildren 1 Great Great Great Grandchild In addition to her husband, she is also preceded in death by: 1 Son, Loda James Reece, 2 Sisters, and 3 Brothers. Funeral services will be conducted Monday 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Michael Barnes with burial to follow in the Lutes Cemetery.Friends may call between 6 and 9 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
